It’s always been a dream of mine to share my gift and record my very own album. I can say that I’m a firm believer in timing and now is the time for me to do this. When I sat down to start ‘Timeless history’ I had to really look at what I was going to do and how was I going to do it. I actually had no idea where to start so I went to a good friend of mine who had experience in the industry. We met for coffee and talk for couple of hours, I wrote all her advise down and it became the foundation to start this project. I sat down and mapped everything out including selecting music, timelines, financials, selecting musicians, research on how it would all play out.
So, where does the album name Timeless History come from? When I sat down to look at my songs, I looked at music that had a significant memory in my life. So, for me History was around the songs that had I had grown up with that I could remember, and I could associate a memory with.
The Timeless part was around the music / songs which some of them were classed as old classics and remembered for there resonating sound that people could relate too. Feel / Mood for ‘Timeless History’? The feel / mood I want for this album is easy listening, relaxing and connecting with the classics and enjoying. A great setting would be cooking dinner and having a glass of wine while singing along or having it as background music while your entertaining guest for a dinner party. Preparation? This is an important part of the process and I have to prepare and set goals to ensure we are on time to deliver and ensure the quality level is second to none.
To give you an idea on how I prepare - I rehearse music around an hour or more every day. To ensure I keep my level of skill and technique, I have an hours singing lesson once a week - I keep active on social media to update and keep fans in the loop. The admin for this is huge so I have to set time aside each day to run marketing ads, stay in touch with my musicians, conduct research and comply with my legal obligations. I am always looking at new ways I can add value to this album to ensure the end product is high. As you can see there is a lot that goes into making this album but its defiantly worth the efforts. Giving this album Justice? What I mean by this is over the past 9 months I have learnt a lot. One thing that came apparent to me was that sometimes you have to spent a little extra to ensure the end product is exceptional. I have a fantastic team of people who are onboard and making this happen and I want to thank them for their hard work and dedication.
I really look forward to bringing ‘Timeless history’ to you. Very shortly you will be able to purchase a physical CD, download from my website or listen to it on all major streaming platforms. Thanks again for your continued support C J
